POLLY HARVEY christened her forthcoming album ‘STORIES FROM THE CITY, STORIES FROM THE SEA’ last night (September 18) with a low-key show at her now-traditional local launchpad, the tiny BRIDPORT ARTS CENTRE in deepest DORSET.In front of a packed crowd including family, friends and Beth Gibbons from Portishead, Polly and her latest PJ Harvey cohorts played a set heavy on rock guitars and rich in melody.

according to rumours a new portishead single is going to be released in December in order to promote the new portishead album coming next year (february) and a portishead world tour (summer of 2001).the truth is that portishead delayed their work as their previous album was released in 1997 and the live version in september of 1998. we don’t know anything else about the new album.however be prepared for new stuff coming soon!

the new album of radiohead “kid a” finally released!of course the band has changed a lot.now i can say that they are a trip-hop band (!) as “kid a” reminds me the album “portishead” especially in the first and second track.
